Food, Pharma Recalls Jump In 3rd Quarter Of 2012

Law360, New York (November 16, 2012, 6:22 PM EST) -- The number of drug, medical device and food recalls rose dramatically nationwide in the third quarter of 2012 compared to the previous three months, a recall management firm said Thursday.

The largest increase in the number of recalls came in the food industry, where there were 414 callbacks from July to September, nearly two and a half times the number of recalls that occurred from April to June, according to Stericycle ExpertRECALL.
