Malay Co. Wins $272M Hess Contract For Offshore Vessel

Law360, New York (November 16, 2012, 5:29 PM EST) -- Offshore drilling servicer EOC Ltd. on Wednesday landed a $272.1 million contract from Hess Corp. to lease one of EOC's floating production, storage and offloading vessels for a $5.2 billion natural gas project Hess is developing off the Malaysian Peninsula.

The contract gives Hess subsidiary Hess Exploration and Production Malaysia BV the use of the Lewek Arunothai FPSO vessel for three years, with an option for a three-year extension for an extra $271.1 million, EOC said in a statement.
