S. African Court Clears Up Rule On Watchdog's Antitrust Cases

Law360, New York (November 16, 2012, 7:53 PM EST) -- A South African appeals court reinstated an antitrust case over South African Breweries Ltd.'s distribution practices Wednesday, clarifying the rule that a Competition Commission case need only be logically linked to the third-party complaint that led the watchdog to investigate.

The Competition Appeal Court revived the antitrust regulator's case accusing the SABMiller PLC unit and several of its authorized resellers of a variety of anti-competitive practices.
