EPA Urges FERC To Expand Review Of Dominion LNG Project

Law360, New York (November 16, 2012, 4:59 PM EST) -- The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency on Thursday urged the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission to intensify its environmental review of a Dominion Resources Services Inc. proposal to build a liquefied natural gas facility in Maryland.

The EPA, in a letter to FERC, said it has responsibilities under the National Environmental Policy Act and the Clean Water Act to review the approval process, and told FERC it should expand its analysis to consider the indirect environmental effects of the project, regardless of whether or not FERC has direct...
