Regulatory Vet Hesse To Head DOJ's Antitrust Division

Law360, New York (November 16, 2012, 8:44 PM EST) -- Seasoned antitrust attorney Renata Hesse will lead the U.S. Department of Justice's Antitrust Division following the departure of recently appointed acting head Joseph Wayland, a DOJ spokeswoman said Friday.

Hesse, who has previously worked within the DOJ's antitrust group in various capacities, has been named the acting assistant attorney general for the antitrust division upon the departure of Wayland, who took that same position earlier this year, and who was to step down from his post Friday, DOJ spokeswoman Gina Talamona said.
