DOJ Ends Antitrust Probe Of Monsanto, Seed Industry

Law360, New York (November 16, 2012, 9:02 PM EST) -- The U.S. Department of Justice has ended its antitrust probe of the domestic seed industry and Monsanto Co.'s genetically modified soybean business without taking any enforcement action, the agriculture giant said Friday.

Monsanto said in a statement that it had received written notification from the DOJ that the agency would no longer be investigating its soybean traits business and the overall seed industry in the U.S.
