UK Antitrust Agency Appoints New Criminal Enforcement Head

Law360, New York (November 19, 2012, 5:07 PM EST) -- Britain's competition watchdog has beefed up its criminal enforcement efforts following the collapse of a high-profile criminal price-fixing case, announcing Monday that it had appointed one of its investigators to a newly created lead investigator and enforcer role.

According to the U.K. Office of Fair Trading, its assistant criminal enforcement director Lee Craddock will immediately become the first director of investigation and criminal enforcement in the agency's cartels and criminal enforcement group, reporting to senior director Ali Nikpay, putting him in charge of a team investigating...
