Enel To Pay $165M For Vestas Wind Project In Chile

Law360, New York (November 20, 2012, 3:41 PM EST) -- The renewables division of Italian energy company Enel SpA will fork over $165 million for a Vestas Wind Systems AS wind power plant in Chile that has an installed capacity of 90 megawatts, the pair said Tuesday.

To back the deal, Enel said it had nailed down a 12-year, €110 million ($141 million) financing package from the Danish government's export credit agency, Eksport Kredit Fonden, and Citigroup Inc. The company did not say how it would cover the balance of the total purchase price.
