Pa. Landowners Attack Permit For Frack Water Impoundment

Law360, Philadelphia (November 20, 2012, 8:49 PM EST) -- A Pennsylvania couple launched an appeal with the state's Environmental Hearing Board on Monday challenging a permit awarded to EQT Production Co. to build an impoundment for fracking water in Tioga County.

Stanley and Sylvia Hallman claim that the impoundment poses a needless risk of contamination on a parcel of property they own, and they say the company should be made to use trucks to transport and store water used for fracking.
