Army Corps Wrongly Approved Wetland Fills, Judge Rules

Law360, New York (November 21, 2012, 7:09 PM EST) -- A Mississippi federal judge on Wednesday vacated a U.S. Army Corps of Engineers permit for a state highway project in a suit alleging the project destroyed 162 acres of wetlands, saying the Corps insufficiently addressed mitigation requirements before granting the permit.
