9th Circ. Raises Sanctions Bar For Failed Subpoena Bids

Law360, New York (November 26, 2012, 9:19 PM EST) -- The Ninth Circuit on Monday reversed sanctions issued against a Michigan church over its quashed subpoena against an online communication network in a precedential ruling, finding that such sanctions against a narrowly tailored subpoena made in good faith would essentially chill an attorney's ability to advocate for a client.
