Metal Refinery Sued Over Omaha Lead Superfund Site

Law360, New York (November 27, 2012, 2:07 PM EST) -- The U.S. government and Nebraska state officials hit a metal refinery with a suit in Nebraska federal court Monday seeking millions of dollars in environmental cleanup costs over lead particulate emissions at the Omaha Lead Superfund site.

Aaron Ferer & Sons Co. is one of several industrial lead processors in Omaha that the government is targeting for allegedly releasing heavy metals into the air that have contaminated nearby residential property for much of the last century, according to the complaint.
