Obama Fills 3 District Judge Vacancies In Pa.

Law360, Philadelphia (November 27, 2012, 1:59 PM EST) -- In a move that quickly drew praise from both Republican and Democratic lawmakers, two Pennsylvania county judges were among three nominees named by President Barack Obama on Tuesday to fill vacant district court judgeships in the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.

Philadelphia County Court of Common Pleas Judge Nitza Quinones Alejandro and President Judge Jeffrey Schmehl of the Berks County Court of Common Pleas were named alongside U.S. Magistrate Judge Luis Felipe Restrepo to take over three vacancies in the district.
