Bipartisan Group Proposes Panel To Handle Energy Policy

Law360, New York (November 27, 2012, 8:26 PM EST) -- A group of former senators and administration officials on Tuesday called on the White House to create an executive branch council to develop long-term national energy policies, saying U.S. energy strategy has suffered from a lack of organization.

The Bipartisan Policy Center’s four Strategic Energy Policy Initiative chairmen said the Obama administration should seize the opportunity in its second term to lay out a “retooled and revitalized” national energy policy and improve coordination among the agencies that oversee all aspects of the U.S. energy industry....
