Columbia Casualty Settles Coverage Row With UnitedHealth

Law360, New York (November 27, 2012, 4:10 PM EST) -- A Minnesota federal judge on Tuesday dismissed Columbia Casualty Co. from a suit brought by UnitedHealth Group Inc. seeking coverage from its insurers for hundreds of underlying suits over health insurance claims reimbursements after Columbia and UnitedHealth reached a confidential settlement.

U.S. District Judge Patrick J. Schiltz ordered all claims against Columbia Casualty, one of 10 insurers involved in the suit, be dismissed with prejudice and on the merits.
