DuPont Fraud Sanctions Unsealed In $1B Monsanto Patent Row

Law360, New York (November 27, 2012, 8:21 PM EST) -- DuPont Co. faced “severe” sanctions including a bill for its adversary's attorneys' fees after misleading the Missouri federal court presiding over a Monsanto Co. patent infringement and breach of contract suit concerning herbicide-resistant seed technology, which resulted in a $1 billion jury verdict against DuPont, a judge said recently.
