Philly Sewage Plant Says Whistleblower Suit Came Too Late

Law360, Philadelphia (November 28, 2012, 1:38 PM EST) -- A Philadelphia sewage plant Tuesday hit back at two former employees who alleged they were fired for raising concerns about incidents of illegal chemical dumping, asking a state judge to dismiss the suit because the statute of limitations has expired.

Synagro Technologies Inc. and Philadelphia Biosolids Services LLC also contended that Christopher Kennedy and Anthony Chaney, former supervisors at a Synagro plant that treats, disposes and recycles human waste for use as fertilizer and fuel, lacked grounds both to sue the companies and to seek punitive...
