Steinway Piano Dealers Raided By Swiss Antitrust Agency

Law360, New York (November 28, 2012, 1:46 PM EST) -- Switzerland's antitrust watchdog raided the local distributors of piano maker Steinway & Sons on Tuesday, launching a probe into possible anti-competitive activity in the sale of pianos to the Zurich University of the Arts.

The Swiss Competition Commission, or Comco, said evidence indicated that the Steinway dealers reached collusive agreements on sales territories and on the prices they would charge for the pianos.
