EU ITC Wants Parliament Approval In Colombia, Peru Deal

Law360, New York (November 28, 2012, 3:01 PM EST) -- The International Trade Committee of the European Parliament on Tuesday urged the legislature to sign off on a proposed European Union free-trade pact with Colombia and Peru, saying its approval will trigger economic growth.

Once the European Parliament has approved the agreement, the countries will gradually remove duties on exports and imports, and liberalize services and public procurement markets, the International Trade Committee said in a statement.
