HHS Wants Input On Health Exchange Quality Checks

Law360, Washington (November 28, 2012, 4:48 PM EST) -- The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services asked the public on Tuesday to weigh in on the quality control and ratings standards the agency should use for the health insurance exchanges created by the Affordable Care Act.

Noting that it is looking for lessons from other quality control models and for new recommendations, HHS asked for help developing a “national quality strategy” that will improve communication and care coordination and make health care safer and more affordable.
