Cephalon To Pay $425M To End Federal Investigation

Law360, New York (November 9, 2007, 12:00 AM EST) -- Drugmaker Cephalon Inc. has agreed to pay $425 million to settle an investigation into the company's sales and marketing practices by the Philadelphia U.S. Attorney's office and the U.S. Department of Justice, the company revealed Thursday.

As part of the settlement, Cephalon said it would also accept a single misdemeanor violation of the U.S. Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act.
