Dems Urge Obama To Act On Gasoline Emission Standards

Law360, New York (November 29, 2012, 8:45 PM EST) -- A group of Democratic U.S. senators Thursday pressed the Obama administration to issue a set of long-awaited standards to cut emissions from gasoline, arguing they would provide important public health protections at little cost to the auto industry.

Led by Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand, D-N.Y., 12 Democrats sent a letter calling on President Barack Obama to issue the Environmental Protection Agency’s Tier 3 emission and fuel standards, which have lingered in the agency for more than two years.
