Brazil Antitrust Chief Urges Cartel Sanctions For Fridge Execs

Law360, New York (November 29, 2012, 2:42 PM EST) -- The head of Brazil's competition watchdog on Thursday recommended that three executives face punishment for their alleged role in a price-fixing conspiracy in the refrigerant compressor industry.

The general superintendence for Brazil's antitrust regulator, the Administrative Council for Economic Defense, or CADE, issued a notice Thursday in the country's official gazette pushing for three executives to be sanctioned over their alleged cartel practices, according to a statement from the watchdog.
