UPS, TNT Offer Asset Sales To Allay EU Competition Fears

Law360, New York (November 30, 2012, 3:10 PM EST) -- United Parcel Service Inc. and Dutch package delivery company TNT Express NV on Thursday proposed concessions to the European Union's antitrust watchdog, which is reviewing the companies' proposed $6.8 billion tie-up.

The companies proposed commitments seeking to ease concerns that UPS's planned multibillion dollar purchase of TNT Express would harm competition, the companies said Friday in a joint statement.
