Ex-World Health CEO Gets 130 Months For $40M Fraud

Law360, Los Angeles (December 4, 2012, 8:16 PM EST) -- The former CEO of the now-defunct medical staffing company World Health Alternatives Inc. was sentenced Tuesday to nearly 11 years in federal prison and was ordered to pay $39,100 in restitution for defrauding investors out of more than $40 million.

Richard E. McDonald, 38, of Lower Burrell, Pa., pled guilty in April to wire fraud, securities fraud, lying to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission and evading payroll and income taxes.
