Wal-Mart CEO To Be Deposed In Doc-Shredding Case

Law360, New York (November 12, 2007, 12:00 AM EST) -- A plaintiff who accused her former employer of maltreatment after she informed authorities she had been ordered to shred pertinent documents has received formal approval to depose the CEO of Wal-Mart Stores Inc.

Judge James R. Marchewski of the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Arkansas on Thursday granted plaintiff Rita Miles' motion to depose CEO H. Lee Scott Jr. and nine additional witnesses. The court has allowed Miles to exceed the general limit of 10 witnesses.
