Law360, New York (December 17, 2012, 12:02 PM EST) -- On Nov. 21, 2012, the Massachusetts Public Health Council (PHC) approved the final regulatory amendments implementing the pharmaceutical and medical device manufacturer conduct law, MGL ch. 111N, which was amended by Gov. Deval Patrick in July 2012. These amendments mark a fundamental departure from what was deemed one of the strictest bans on gifts from pharmaceutical and medical device manufacturers to health care practitioners in the United States.
