EPA Agrees To Set New Brick, Clay Product Emission Regs

Law360, New York (December 6, 2012, 2:54 PM EST) -- The EPA said Thursday that it has reached an agreement with the Sierra Club to promulgate new emission standards for brick and structural clay products and clay ceramics manufacturing facilities, replacing standards that have been in place since 2000.

The Sierra Club had alleged in a federal lawsuit that the agency failed to meet its obligations under the Clean Air Act by not updating the standards after an appeals court remanded regulations proposed in 2003 for further review.
