Novartis Wants To Question Bone Patients' Doctors

Law360, New York (November 13, 2007, 12:00 AM EST) -- Locked in a product liability war over its bone cancer drugs, Novartis Pharmaceuticals Corp. is seeking court permission to engage in talks with the plaintiffs’ treating and prescribing physicians in an effort to expedite discovery.

On Monday, Novartis beseeched the court to recognize the pharmaceutical giant's right to conduct ex parte communications with the doctors involved, arguing that the process would improve efficiency in the case.
