Hevesi Atty Urges NY To Rule On Retiring Judge's Ethics

Law360, New York (December 7, 2012, 7:47 PM EST) -- The lawyer for paroled New York comptroller Alan Hevesi, who accuses state Judge Lewis Bart Stone of presiding over Hevesi's corruption case despite a glaring conflict, told Law360 on Friday that ethics investigators should issue a ruling in the matter before the judge's Dec. 31 retirement, in part as a warning to other judges.
