Colo. Gov. Says State Won't Sue City Over Fracking Ban

Law360, New York (December 10, 2012, 9:26 PM EST) -- Colorado Gov. John Hickenlooper reportedly told oil and gas executives Thursday that the state wouldn't sue the city of Longmont over its ban on hydraulic fracturing recently approved by its voters, but it would support companies that choose to take the city to court.

Hickenlooper, a Democrat, made the comments as part of his address at the Rockies Midstream Conference at the Colorado Convention Center in Denver, the Denver Business Journal reported.
