Dems Press Coast Guard On Deepwater Oil Sheen Response

Law360, New York (December 10, 2012, 5:45 PM EST) -- Democratic lawmakers probing BP PLC’s response to oil sheens that have appeared at the site of the Deepwater Horizon disaster grilled the Coast Guard on Friday about efforts to prevent new oil from surfacing, saying BP hasn’t been forthcoming about its work.

The Coast Guard is overseeing BP and rig owner Transocean Ltd.’s investigation of the wreckage from the Deepwater Horizon oil spill, which the agency said last month was the likely source of at least two recent oil sheens in the Gulf of Mexico....
