Generics Cos. Ask Fed. Circ. To Nix Pfizer's Lyrica Patent

Law360, New York (December 10, 2012, 6:19 PM EST) -- A group of generics makers including Teva Pharmaceuticals USA Inc. urged the Federal Circuit on Friday to overturn a lower court's ruling that they infringed a patent for Pfizer Inc.'s blockbuster nerve pain drug Lyrica and that the patent is not obvious, claiming that the trial judge blindly adopted Pfizer's positions.
