SercoNet, NetGear Cut Off Networking Patent Case

Law360 (November 14, 2007, 12:00 AM EST) -- A federal judge on Monday signed off on a joint motion of dismissal between home network maker Netgear Inc. and its rival SercoNet Ltd., effectively ending a patent battle that allegedly encompassed over 45 Netgear products.

In documents filed in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California, SercoNet and Netgear agreed to dismiss their respective actions against each other with prejudice. Each side will bear its own attorneys’ fees, costs and expenses.

The order comes roughly three weeks after the two parties left...
