Pa. Gov. Won't Establish State Health Insurance Exchange

Law360, Philadelphia (December 12, 2012, 6:53 PM EST) -- Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Corbett announced Wednesday his administration would not move forward to establish a state-based health insurance exchange as required under the Affordable Care Act, saying he would cede the responsibility to the federal government.

In a statement issued Wednesday afternoon, Corbett said he was unsatisfied with guidance issued by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services about how state-run exchanges would work and decided setting up the program would be best left, for the time being, to the federal government.
