Greenberg Traurig Can't Strike Complaint In Malpractice Suit

Law360, New York (December 13, 2012, 3:25 PM EST) -- A Colorado federal judge on Wednesday denied Greenberg Traurig LLP's bid to strike parts of Wyers Products Group Inc.'s malpractice complaint, which alleges the firm failed to properly advise the company regarding the risks of rejecting a settlement in a patent dispute.

U.S. District Judge Wiley Y. Daniel shot down a motion to strike several paragraphs from lock maker Wyers' complaint, which referenced settlement discussions during a Federal Circuit appeal of a patent infringement lawsuit Wyers had filed against Master Lock Co. LLC.
