Law360, New York (December 13, 2012, 1:43 PM EST) -- A U.K. judge on Thursday sentenced former Mizuho International PLC investment banker Thomas Ammann to 32 months in prison for encouraging two women he was dating simultaneously to trade on inside information about an impending $1.1 billion acquisition by Canon Inc.

Southwark Crown Court Judge Anthony Leonard sentenced Ammann on two counts of insider dealing and two counts of encouraging insider dealing, according to the Financial Services Authority, which prosecuted the case in London.
