4th Circ. Finds No Email Privacy Issue In Bribery Conviction

Law360, New York (December 13, 2012, 5:56 PM EST) -- The Fourth Circuit on Thursday refused to overturn the bribery conviction of a former Virginia lawmaker that relied heavily on access to emails he sent his wife from a computer at a public school system where he worked as a part-time consultant, finding that his failure to delete the emails amounted to a waiver of the marital communications privilege.
