Canadian Antitrust Watchdog Drops Charges Against Waste Co.

Law360, New York (December 14, 2012, 7:35 PM EST) -- Canada's Competition Bureau said Friday that charges accusing Progressive Waste Solutions Ltd. of breaching a consent agreement meant to allay concerns that a 2010 merger would stifle competition had been withdrawn, after privileged information was accidentally leaked to bureau investigators.
