Lab Testing Co. Genelex Hit With DNA Patent Suit

Law360, New York (December 17, 2012, 1:17 PM EST) -- Australian company Genetic Technologies Ltd. sued Seattle-based Genelex Corp. in Washington federal court on Friday, alleging infringement of a patent on technology for using DNA in genetic analysis.

With the complaint, DNA testing company Genelex became the latest target of Genetic Technologies, which has in the past sued several other companies — including pharmaceutical heavyweights Bristol-Myers Squibb Co., GlaxoSmithKline PLC and Pfizer Inc. — claiming they infringed U.S. Patent Number 5,612,179.
