Third Wave Prevails In Patent Dispute Over Genetic Testing

Law360 (September 12, 2005, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Molecular diagnostics company Third Wave Technologies Inc. prevailed in a Wisconsin federal court this month when a jury found rival Stratagene Corporation liable for willful patent infringement.

Third Wave filed suit against Stratagene in United States District Court for the Western District of Wisconsin in September 2004, alleging infringement by Strategene’s "FullVelocity" QPCR and QRT-PCR products.
