Samsung Tells ITC That Import Ban Will Cripple Competition

Law360, New York (December 17, 2012, 3:18 PM EST) -- Barring the U.S. entry of Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd. cellphones and other electronics accused of infringing Ericsson Inc. patents will have a harmful effect on consumers and industry competition, Samsung warned the U.S. International Trade Commission on Friday.

In a statement on the public interest filed with the ITC, Samsung discouraged the commission from entering an exclusion order sought by Ericsson against Samsung phones and other electronics alleged to have infringed 11 separate telecommunications patents.
