Pa. PUC Releases New Details On Fracking Impact Fee

Law360, New York (December 20, 2012, 4:23 PM EST) -- The Pennsylvania Public Utilities Commission on Thursday issued clarifications on how impact fees for hydraulic fracturing in the state's Marcellus Shale are calculated, responding to a request made by Anadarko Petroleum Corp.

In a 5-0 vote, the PUC agreed to release additional details on issues including whether setting conductor pipe triggers the impact fee, how the impact fee will be assessed to wells that are reclassified from horizontal to vertical and when the impact fee ceases after a well is plugged.
