'Nap Nanny' Maker Wants CPSC Sanctioned Over Recall Notice

Law360, Philadelphia (January 3, 2013, 2:15 PM EST) -- The manufacturer of the Nap Nanny portable baby recliner linked by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission to five deaths struck back at the agency on Wednesday, alleging that the CPSC had put out a misleading press release connected to a December recall suit against the company.

Pennsylvania-based Baby Matters LLC, the now-shuttered producer of the Nap Nanny, contended in a motion filed with the commission that a Dec. 27 press release incorrectly stated that it was illegal to sell the Nap Nanny under federal law....
