NY Comptroller Seeks Qualcomm's Political Spending Records

Law360, Wilmington (January 3, 2013, 1:33 PM EST) -- New York State Comptroller Thomas P. DiNapoli sued Qualcomm Inc. on Wednesday in Delaware Chancery Court in a bid to force the mobile technology giant to disclose information about its political spending in the wake of the U.S. Supreme Court's Citizens United ruling.

The suit was filed by the New York State Common Retirement Fund, for which DiNapoli is the sole trustee and manager. The fund manages over $150 billion in assets and holds about $378 million in Qualcomm stock, according to the complaint.
