Dems, Enviros Press For Probe Of Shell Rig's Grounding

Law360, New York (January 3, 2013, 7:36 PM EST) -- House Democrats and environmental groups on Thursday seized on the recent grounding of a Royal Dutch Shell PLC oil rig in Alaska to urge the Obama administration to address the accident, renewing their case against drilling in Arctic waters. 

Rocked by 60 mph winds and high seas, Shell's Kulluk mobile drilling rig ran aground near Alaska's Kodiak Island on Monday. The Coast Guard and the company have reported no leaked oil or fuel.
