Immigration Law Firm Must Cut Ties With Discredited Atty

Law360, New York (January 4, 2013, 8:09 PM EST) -- A California appeals court held Thursday that attorneys from a now-defunct immigration law firm must sever ties with a former partner who resigned from the state bar after being accused of billing clients for work he never performed.

In a unanimous opinion, a three-judge First Appellate District panel affirmed a preliminary injunction issued against the former attorney, Martin Resendez Guajardo, his former partner Christopher Stender and their shuttered firm Immigration Practice Group.
