Alpha Hit With Another Pollution Suit Over Pa. Coal Mine

Law360, Philadelphia (January 4, 2013, 2:22 PM EST) -- Alpha Natural Resources Inc. was sued Wednesday by an environmental group over alleged pollution from a southwestern Pennsylvania coal mine, the second such suit against the coal giant in a week.

The suit filed Pennsylvania federal court by the Citizens Coal Council follows a similar suit filed by the Center for Coalfield Justice over Alpha’s Emerald Mine No. 1 in Greene County.
