Grads' Fraud Action Against Albany Law School Tossed

Law360, New York (January 4, 2013, 3:42 PM EST) -- Finding that three law school graduates offered no specific facts to support their case, an Albany, N.Y., judge on Thursday tossed their proposed class action claiming Albany Law School defrauded them by making misleading claims about their chances of winning lucrative legal jobs upon graduation.

Judge Richard M. Platkin's summary dismissal came two weeks after a downstate appellate court upheld the dismissal of a similar complaint brought against New York Law School that had been thrown out in March by a Manhattan trial judge.
