Attorney, Firm Sued For Missing EEOC Filing Deadline

Law360 (November 19, 2007, 12:00 AM EST) -- A woman who recently settled a gender and age discrimination lawsuit against her former employer has filed a malpractice suit against the attorney and law firm that represented her, claiming they compromised her case by failing to file a timely complaint with the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.

In a complaint filed Friday in Georgia state court, Deborah Suboh claimed that her attorney, Mark Bergeson, and his former firm, Alembik, Fine & Callner PA, missed the 180-day deadline to file her discrimination claim with the EEOC....
